Chommie is slang for “friend” in the gorgeous lands of South Africa, where this Shiraz was made. It’s produced in the Western Cape region, where the cool afternoon sea breeze creates favorable conditions for ripening. These grapes are dry farmed and low-yielding, creating fantastic intensity that is further refined by aging in stainless steel. The end result is a lush, textured Shiraz that pairs bold spice and savory notes with abundant dark fruit.
